Frequently asked questions
What should I consider before applying?
Take your time when applying for a role. Consider if this is the right job for you and whether you have the skills and experience necessary to be successful. Is Epson the right company for you and does the location suit? Do you have the legal right to work where the job is based?
Read the job advert carefully and fill out your information honestly and accurately, as this forms part of the selection and screening process.
Who can I contact if I have a problem applying?
If you are having difficulties, please email talentlink@epson.eu
When do I find out more about the salary?
We understand that a remuneration package forms part of your decision when you apply for a new job. Should your initial application be successful, a member of the HR or resourcing team will discuss your salary expectations with you.
What benefits are offered to employees?
Our benefits package varies from country to country. Your HR representative or resourcing specialist will be able to inform you about the benefits on offer in the country where the position is based.
How should I prepare for the interview?
Researching Epson is a great place to start. Find out about our different product ranges and our global office locations. Make sure you familiarise yourself with your CV and the job details prior to the first interview.
For your second stage interview, be prepared to provide specific examples of your experience detailing tasks or projects that you have worked on and how you have approached them. These types of interviews are known as competency based or structured evidence based interviews. You may also be informed of a skills based exercise or presentation that you'll be asked to undertake during your second stage interview. All of the necessary information will be provided to you by the resourcing team or HR team in advance of the interview.
What is a competency based interview?
A competency-based interview can also be referred to as:
Situational
Behavioural
Structured
Evidence-based
Competency-based interviews are founded on the premise that past performance is the best predictor of future behaviour. You'll be asked to share examples of situations you've been personally involved in and asked to talk through each scenario in detail in order to provide evidence of your competence for the role.
How do I answer competency based interview questions?
Use the STAR approach:
Situation
Task
Action
Result
Situation/task - describe the exact situation you were in or the task that you needed to accomplish. The situation must have occurred in the past and can come from the workplace, educational experience or a volunteer role.
Action - describe the action that you actually took - not what you might or should have done. If you worked in a team environment, it is important to describe your role in the team. The interviewer wants to understand what you did, not what the team did.
Result - describe what happened; did you accomplish the goal? If not, what did you learn along the way?
What should I wear to the interview?
Keep it smart. Epson has a business dress code.
What do I need to bring to the interview?
Please remember to bring your right to work documents to your second stage interview. We need to see the original documents, such as passports, national identity cards, full birth certificates etc.
Please ask your HR representative or resourcing specialist if you have any queries.
When should I expect to hear back from Epson following my interview?
This may vary depending on the position you have applied for. However, we ensure that you will always receive detailed, specific and constructive feedback regarding the outcome of your interview, as we value your interest in Epson.

Polite note to recruitment agencies
We have our own in-house direct resourcing team, which means that we only occasionally work with recruitment agencies. In this instance, Epson Europe B.V. operates a preferred supplier list arrangement for any agency permanent, contract and temporary recruitment across all of our regions. We are under no obligation to pay any fee resulting in the placement of a candidate, unless the supplier has signed terms and conditions with Epson Europe B.V. and has been instructed to submit candidates by the relevant resourcing specialist or HR representative.
With that in mind, we politely ask that you avoid making any speculative approaches to our HR or resourcing team, or managers across the business.
If you would like to be considered for preferred supplier status, please send a brief introduction to your business to emear_resourcingpartners@epson.eu, clearly stating the areas you specialise in and how you think your company can help us.
